Abstract :
Background: Sport is an interesting field to study about so that many people love to
put their attention to improved their fitness performance and achievement. One of it is
to increase VO2Max with the Interval Training method. Interval Training is an
exercise that is interspersed by a period of time as a time to rest, this is an effective
way to increase VO2Max for beginners and advanced athletes. The measuring
instrument used is the bleep test.
Research Purpose: Knowing on how to determine the effect of Interval Training in
increasing the value of VO2Max which is effective and efficient.
Research Methods: Literature researches were accessed through Google search,
google scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect, as well as other search tools in finding
the effect of Interval Training on the increasing VO2Max values and has a quasiexperimental study from the research in the past 10 years.
Research Results: This research had 4 study titles about the Interval Training and its
effect on the increasing VO2Max values. The sample of this research is the literature
study that uses beginners and advanced male athletes who?s age around 18-25 years,
using an Experimental Pre Test Post Test study form as well with the quasiexperimental research method.
Conclusion: There is an effect of Interval Training on the increasing value of
VO2Max in beginners and advanced athletes
