Abstract :
Background : Low back pain is one of the most common and common
musculoskeletal disorders in life and has become a global health problem. The
intervention to treat low back pain is pilates exercise, this exercise can increase
spinal flexibility by increasing core muscles, improving posture and reducing
pain.
Research purposes : To examine the movement, dose and the effect of pilates
exercise on low back pain and find out reviews or studies on the effect of pilates
exercise on low back pain.
Research methods : The method in this research is a literacy study with
literature search through Google Schoolar, PubMed, Elsevier, Sage Journal, and
Research Gate, as well as other search tools regarding the effect of Pilates
exercise on low back pain, the inclusion criteria of this research are journals with
randomized controlled trial and quasi experiment published in 2015 - 2020,
national and international journals accompanied by clear identities, age of
participants 15 - 80 years with male and female sex and discussing pilates
exercise and non-specific chronic low back pain with pain measuring instruments
validated. The exclusion criteria for this study were journals with systematic
review and review , non-full text journals, journals without a clear identity.
Research result : Pilates exercise effective in reducing pain and safe to use at
various ages and the results from 5 journals that have been in accordance with the
inclusion criteria are significant.
Conclusion: There is an effect of Pilates exercise on low back pain
