Abstract :
?Watupatok Village is one of the villages that still uses medicinal plants to
cure diseases from generation to generation. Inflammatory disease is the most
common disease suffered by the people of Watupatok village, one of the diseases
with the highest order is rheumatoid arthritis and gastritis in the last 3 years. This
study discusses the use and processing of medicinal plants as anti-inflammatory
agents in Watupatok Village, Bandar sub-district, Pacitan district, East Java.
The technique used in this study is the snowball sampling technique with
an open-ended interview method through a questionnaire. Informants in this study
amounted to 14 respondents consisting of 2 male respondents and 12 female
respondents.
The results of the study obtained 15 types of medicinal plants and 13
traditional recipes of medicinal plants used by the Watupatok village community
for the treatment of anti-inflammatory agents. The most widely used plants by the
Watupatok village community with high UV values are turmeric (0.93),
temulawak (0.786), betel leaf (0.643), and ICF values obtained by rheumatoid
arthritis (0.928) and gastritis.?.
