Abstract :
Cashew apple is one of the fruits that can be found in Indonesia which
contains the chemical compounds of flavonoids. The phenomenon that occurs in
the community that the cashew apple is not utilized so that only the dumped
waste. Flavonoid compounds have inhibitory effects on the factors on urinary tract
infections.
The purpose of this study to determine the levels of total flavonoid
found in cashew apple (Anacardium occidentale L). This research is descriptive
research. Extraction was done by centrifuges to obtain a filtrate by means of
depositing pulp using methanol pro analysis. Levels of total flavonoids was
calculated using linear regression equation Y = 0,0048x-0,308. The results of total
flavonoids assesment from cashew apple (Anacardium occidentale L.) by Uv-Vis
spectrophotometry is 0.0509 QE% w / w with a Coefficient of Variation (% CV)
