Abstract :
Clinical laboratory examination is a system that can determine decisions
regarding a disease diagnosis through laboratory results. The laboratory can be
trusted and the results will be accurate if control is carried out at the
pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytic stages. Chloride is one of the
electrolytes in the extracellular, a factor that can affect the results of delaying the
examination of chloride levels, namely water (H2O). The purpose of this study
was to determine the results of chloride levels which were immediately checked
and postponed.
This study uses an experimental research design. This research was conducted
at the Mandiri Diagnostic Clinical Laboratory and the time of the study was
conducted in January-May. The sample of this research is 37 students of class
3A2, D3 Study Program of National Medical Laboratory Technology, STIKES.
The results showed that the average serum chloride level immediately
checked was 104.15. Meanwhile, the average hloride on en whi h w del yed
