Abstract :
Indonesia possesses a variety of medicinal plants that have the potential for a
much larger herbal medicine industry. The yakon leaf is a thriving medicinal plant in
Indonesia, better known as the insulin leaf. According to valentova et al., in his study,
insulin leaves are protein-rich and display phenolic compounds, such as caffeine,
chlorogenic acid, fermentation acid, and flavonoid like kuersetin. The purpose of this
study is to determine the total levels of phenometric fractions, n-hexaate fractions,
and insulin leaf water fractions (Smallanthus sonchifolius) by the method of
spectrophotometri uv-vis.
The method used to identify phenolic compounds on extract of insulin leaves
uses a FeCl3 processor. Efficiency efficiency is run by spectrofotometri uv-vis on a
wavelength of 760.0 nm and operating time at 559 minutes. The comparison raw
used was the galic acid.
Total fenolik level, total fencurrently obtained from n-hexonal fractions
0,45975 mgGAE/100ml, etil asetate 0,716428 mgGAE/100ml, water fraction 0,37866
GAEmg/100ml. Value % kv of n-hexsan fraction 0,001594%, etil asetate fraction
0,000616%, water fraction 0,000631%. The highest levels of phenolic are found in
etil acetate fractions compared with others.
