Abstract :
ABSTRAK UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL 96% DAUN PISANG KEPOK (Musa paradisiaca Linn.) TERHADAP BAKTERI Propionibacterium acnes (Oleh: Anggia Murni; Pembimbing: Eka Fitri Susiani., M.Sc., Apt. dan Fitriyanti, M.Farm., Apt. ; 2018; 88 halaman) Jerawat atau acne vulgaris merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh peradangan pada kulit. Pembentukan jerawat disebabkan beberapa bakteri, salah satunya yaitu Propionibacterium acnes. Daun pisang kepok diduga memiliki potensi sebagai antibakteri sehingga diharapkan dapat menyembuhkan jerawat dengan menghambat pertumbuhan P.acnes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa, aktivitas ekstrak terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri P.acnes, serta kadar hambat minimum (KHM) dari ekstrak etanol 96% daun pisang kepok pada pertumbuhan bakteri P.acnes. Daun pisang kepok diekstraksi secara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%, dilanjutkan dengan uji skiring dilakukan pada 6 senyawa yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, steroid dan terpenoid. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode sumuran dengan 8 konsentrasi ekstrak etanol 96% daun pisang kepok 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, kontrol positif klindamisin 2μg dan kontrol negatif Na-CMC 0,25%. Hasil skrining fitokimia, ekstrak etanol 96% daun pisang kepok positif mengandung senyawa flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan terpenoid. Hasil uji antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa zona hambat ekstrak etanol 96% daun pisang kepok 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% yaitu 5,6; 6,83; 7,3; 8,5; 8,67 mm (kategori sedang) dan 40% yaitu 10,5 mm (kategori kuat). KHM ekstrak etanol 96% daun pisang kepok dalam menghambat bakteri P.acnes yaitu pada konsentrasi 15%. Kata kunci : Daun pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca Linn.), P.acnes, jerawat. ABSTRACT ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF ETHANOL EXTRACT 96% BANANA KEPOK LEAVES (Musa paradisiaca Linn.) AGAINST BACTERIA Propionibacterium acnes (By : Anggia Murni Advisor: Eka Fitri Susiani., M.Sc., Apt. and Fitriyanti, M.Farm., Apt. ; 2018; 88 Pages) Acne or acne vulgaris is a disease caused by inflammation of the skin. The formation of acne is caused by several bacteria, one of them is Propionibacterium acnes. Kepok banana leaves are thought to have the potential as antibacterial so that it is expected to cure acne by inhibiting the growth of P.acnes. This study aims to known the chemical compounds, the activity of extracts on the growth of P.acnes bacteria, and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) from ethanol extract 96% banana kepok leaves on the growth of P.acnes bacteria. Banana kepok leaves extracted by maceration using 96% ethanol solvent followed by phytochemical tests were performed on 6 compounds like alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids, and terpenoids. Antibacterial activity test was carried out using the well method with 8 concentrations extracts of ethanol extract 96% banana kepok leaves 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, positive control is clindamycin 2μg and negative control is Na-CMC 0,25%. The results of the phytochemical screening, ethanol extract 96% of banana kepok leaves positive show flavonoid, saponins, and tannins compound. Antibacterial test results showed that the inhibition zone of ethanol extract 96% of kepok banana leaves was 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% which was 5.6; 6.83; 7.3; 8.5; 8.67 mm (medium category) and 40% which is 10.5 mm (strong category). MIC ethanol extract 96% kepok banana leaves in inhibiting P.acnes bacteria at a concentration of 15%. Keywords: Banana kepok leaves (Musa paradisiaca Linn.), P.acnes, acne.
