This is caused by insulin resistance. On diabetes mellitus, the increased level of cholesterol will speed up vaskuler atherosklerotik disease. It is a main complication of long-term diabetes for the mankind. This research aims to know that levels of glucose and cholesterol levels, and to know the relation between the two with Pearson Product Moment (PPM) correlation test. The method has used is analytic survey with approach cross sectional. Based on the study from 68 diabetes mellitus patients using chemistry analyzer bt 1500 at A Disease In Hospitalization RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura On March-April 2013 has obtained the normal glucose had by 4 sample on percentage 5,9%, the abnormal glocuse had by 64 sample on percentage 94,1%, the normal cholesterol had by 52 sample on percentage 76,5% and the abnormal cholesterol had by 16 sample on percentage 23,5%. Statistic test results showed that a significant correlation between glucose levels and cholesterol with the value of the two variants is 0,019. The conclusions we had are the results on glocuse levels have an average at 234,62, the results on cholesterol levels have an average at 158,31, and it has showed that a significant correlation between glucose and cholesterol. It is recommended in patients with Diabetes Mellitus need for efforts to control blood sugar levels are strictly to be correct anyway cholesterol levels in people with Diabetes Mellitus as well as prevent the onset of complications. Keywords : Diabetes Mellitus, Glucose, Cholesterol ABSTRAK Diabetes Mellitus merupakan sekelompok kelainan heterogen yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya glukosa dalam darah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh resistensi insulin. Pada Diabetes Mellitus, kadar kolesterol yang meningkat akan mempercepat penyakit vaskuler atherosklerotik. Hal tersebut merupakan komplikasi utama diabetes jangka panjang pada manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar glukosa dan kadar kolesterol, serta untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keduanya dengan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment (PPM). Metode yang digunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dari 68 sampel pasien Diabetes Mellitus di Rawat Inap RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura Maret-April 2013 dengan memakai alat BT 1500 Chemistry Analyzer didapatkan glukosa normal sebanyak 4 sampel dengan persentase 5,9%, glukosa abnormal sebanyak 64 sampel dengan persentase 94,1%, kolesterol normal sebanyak 52 sampel dengan persentase 76,5% dan kolesterol abnormal sebanyak 16 sampel dengan persentase 23,5%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kadar glukosa dengan kolesterol dengan nilai dari kedua varian adalah 0,019. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan yaitu hasil pemeriksaan kadar glukosa rata-rata 234,62, hasil pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol rata-rata 158,31, dan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara glukosa dan kolesterol. Disarankan pada penderita Diabetes Melitus perlunya upaya pengendalian kadar gula dalam darah secara ketat yang akan memperbaiki pula kadar kolesterol pada penderita Diabetes Mellitus serta mencegah timbulnya komplikasi.
