Abstract :
ABSTRACT
Anemia is a major cause of maternal death. Pregnant women who suffer from anemia will experience postpartum hemorrhage, as a result of this bleeding.the mother will experience prolonged health problems and even result in death The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of giving dates to the increase in Hb levels in pregnant women TM II at PMB Finish Relawati. The design of this study used a pre-experimental design research method (One-Group Pretest-Posstest Design). The sample in this study were all pregnant women with anemia as many as 30 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The results of the analysis showed that the average hemoglobin level of anemic pregnant women who were given blood-boosting tablets was 10.4 g/dl. The hemoglobin level of anemic pregnant women before being given dates was on average 9.0 g/dl and after being given dates the average was 10.0 g/dl and above. In increasing Hb levels in pregnant women who have anemia, dates are more effective when consumed with Fe tablets compared to only consuming Fe tablets with p value = 0.045 (p <0.05). The conclusion from this study was that there was an effectiveness of giving dates with an increase in Hb levels in pregnant women at PMB Finish Relawati in 2022 with p value = 0.045 (p <0.05).
