ABSTRACT
The research objective was to analyze the effect of the application of the SBAR electronic handover method on nurse job satisfaction in carrying out handovers. The research design was a quasi-experimental design with a non- equivalent control group design model. The population of 40 nurses in the ICU room was taken by 32 people using simple random sampling. The independent variable of the application of the SBAR electronic handover method, the dependent variable is the nurse's job satisfaction in carrying out the handover. Data using a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign
Rank Test and the Mann Whitney U Test. The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test in the experimental group were p (0.019) ? (0.05) H0 was rejected. and the results in the control group were p (0.098) ? (0.05) H0 accepted. The results of the Mann Whitney U Test before treatment showed that the value of p (0.198) ? (0.05) H0 was accepted. On the other hand, the results after treatment obtained a p value (0.031) ? (0.05) H0 was rejected. The statistical test results showed that there was an effect of the application of the SBAR method of electronic handovers on nurse job satisfaction in carrying out handovers. The application of the SBAR electronic handover method can affect the job satisfaction of nurses in carrying out handovers. This is because electronic handovers are effective and efficient, reduce workload, improve communication between staff
