Abstract :
ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF USING INSTAGRAM VIDEO FEEDBACK ON STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL: A CASE OF SMA NEGERI 6 KENDARI DITA SRI WULANDARI S (A1M2 15 088) This study was conducted to examine whether there is any significant effect of Using Instagram Video Feedback on students‟ speaking skill a case of SMA Negeri 6 Kendari. This research was conducted in the pre-experimental research design. The population of this research was the first-grade science program (X MIA) students of SMAN 6 Kendari which consist of thetotal of the students were 173 students, while the subject of this research was the first-grade science program (X MIA 1 class) which consists of 33 students. The data of this research were collected by giving pre-test and post-test to students in the form of oral test that related to the topic of the narrative text of legend and fable story.In this study used social media Instagram as a treatment in four times. In this research Instagram as a media learning online.The data were analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 version by using (descriptive analysis and inferential statistics). Descriptive analysis was used to describe the maximum scores, minimum scores, mean score, and standard deviation while the inferential statistic was used to examine the hypothesis. As for testing the hypothesis, the researcher used t-test (paired sample t-test) which was calculated through SPSS 16,0.The result showed that there was a significant effect of using Instagram video feedback on students‟ speaking skill a case study SMA Negeri 6 Kendari. It can be seen from the mean score of post-test was 57.5 while the mean score of pre-test was 32.88. In order to prove the hypothesis, the researcher took the conclusion by comparing the value of Sig (2 tailed) with the significance α value. It showed that the value of Sig (2 tailed) was 0.000 while the significance α value was 0.05. So, it can be concluded that the value of Sig (2 tailed) was lower than the significance of α value (0.000 < 0.05). In other words, (H1) was accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of using Instagram video feedback on students‟ speaking skill a case of SMA Negeri 6 Kendari and it can improve students‟ speaking accuracy and fluency. Besides, the successful improving of students‟ speaking skill at the students of X MIA 1 class the subject of this study did not happened directly but there are supporting factors such as students‟ inetelligence, motivation in learning English and an interesting topic and a pair feedback.
