ABSTRACT
One worm infection disease that is still found in Indonesia is a helminth infection
of species Enterobius vermicularis. Enterobiasis is a parasitic infection caused by
Enterobius vermicularis and an infection that often occurs in the family or the
person who lives in the house (Strickland, 2000). This study aims to determine
whether there is Enterobius vermicularis worm disease in school children in early
childhood Intan Mutiara Desa Cempaka subdistrict Banjarbaru Tiung River in
May 2016. The research method is descriptive with purposive sampling
technique, as many as 20 people were respondents. Examination of the worm
eggs using the method of Graham Scotch Tape and personal hygiene
assessment using questionnaires. There are 4 children or 20% positive,
containing worm eggs Enterobius vermicularis and 16 children or 80% negative.
Conclusions on this research that found a worm Enterobius vermicularis eggs to
children in school early childhood Intan Mutiara in Sungai Tiung Cempaka
subdistrict Banjarbaru May 2016. The percentage of Enterobius vermicularis
worm disease in school children in early childhood Intan Mutiara Desa Cempaka
subdistrict Banjarbaru Tiung River is 20%. It is advisable for people or elderly
people should pay more attention to personal hygiene of children in order to
lower the prevalence of intestinal worms in children, especially Enterobius
vermicularis worm infection. For further research who want to do the examination,
especially Enterobius vermicularis worm infection, swab samples were taken
perianalnya 3 days in a row.
