Abstract :
ABSTRACT
Blood sidementation rate is the sidementation speed of red blood cells from some sample of
blood that is checked by a certain tool and be avowed in milimiter per hour (mm/H). The
checking method who is recommended by internasional communitte for standardization in
hematology (ICSH) is Westergren way. The purpose of this research is to know about how
the comparison result of blood sidementation rate on EDTA blood without dilution with
using Natrium Citrat 3,8% as a gold standard. This research design is using analitic survey,
with analyze the comparison result of the examination blood sidementation rate. The sample
of this research is the vena blood who gived antikoagulants EDTA and Natrium Citrate
3,8% to people who have hemoglobin ? 15 g/dl as much 16 samples that divided into 2
treatments. The BSR value that increased is 31,2%. The BSR value that decreased is
43,7%. The BSR value that consistent is 25%. While the average value of BSR examination
using anticoagulants Natrium Citrat 3,8% is 11,19%, and the average value of BSR using
antikoagulants EDTA is 11,44%. Based on the statistic independent sample T-test was
got a significant value 0,938 > ? 0,05. From this research result obtained that there is no big
differences to BSR value using antikoagulants Natrium Citrat 3,8% and EDTA. For further
researchers it is desirable to continue this research with different titles or with different blood
samples.
