Abstract :
The result of the research showed that, the first grade students of MTsN Binamu Jeneponto had “good” score on pre-test with the mean score 76.57. After giving treatment the students got improvement, they got “very good” score with the mean score 88.05. The result of the data analysis indicated that, there was a significant improvement in the students’ vocabulary ability after being taught using Team Word-webbing method. It was proved by the result of the statistical analysis of the level significance P=0.05 with degree of freedom (df) =68 indicated that the ttest values of the students’ vocabulary (5,885) was higher than t-table value (1.980). Based on the result of this research, the researcher suggest that the using of Team Word-webbing method is effective to increase the students’ vocabulary, because it can help students to be more reliant on their own ability to think, to seek information to other source and to learn for other students.
