Abstract :
Application of Good corporate governance has been the main issue on supporting the recovery and growth of the Economy. Along with the growth and development ofglobal economy, Company being pushed to be equal as it. Then it needs a good management and control of managerial system in the company. With the existence ofgood corporate governance, hopefully can give the positive contribution eitherfor the internal or external ofthe company. This research aims to know how far the application of good corporate governance to five Banks, including Bank Mandiri, Bank Central Asia, Panin financial, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia. This research also aims to know application ofgood corporate governance principles in 5 banks mentioned above. Result of the research shows that generally, application ofgood corporate governance principles that includes transparency, autonomy, responsibility, accountability, andfairness of the 5 banks above beingfinely did though that still was a few problems to be faced. As for the problems beingfaced by that 5 banks mostly is credit Banking tightening problem, Productivity ofbank products that is notfully efficient and effective, the high human resources standard as the cause of globalitation era and internalfraud problem. Advice from the researcher is to I anticipating the new laws from government and Bank Indonesia. Giving a big attention for the market share development, by keep creating the added value for the shareholders and stockholders. The effective and competent Human resources Training needs to be arrange approriately with the employee development needs
