Abstract :
Fuel is essential for companies that rely on transportation tools as support in their operations. These activities require a significant amount of fuel, necessitating a reserve of fuel. However, this situation is often exploited by irresponsible individuals who steal or siphon off the fuel reserves to illegal ships. Therefore, monitoring fuel tanks using IoT-based solutions is the answer. This monitoring process is automated and can be tracked through the Ubidots platform, and the data can be viewed on an LCD attached to the device.
The device is designed using several components, such as the JSN-SR04T sensor, MicroSD Card, ESP32 microcontroller, and I2C LCD. Testing was conducted over 5 hours with data collection every 30 minutes. Data was collected over 2 days, during a 7-8 hour journey of the Roro ship from Uban to Batam. The data collected can be viewed directly on the Ubidots platform. The results show that the device can monitor effectively, and the data displayed on the Ubidots platform is obtained in real-time.
