Abstract :
Crossing between Anjasmoro and Grobogan Varieties as The Basis for The Formation of Genetic Material, this research was supervised by Diana Sofiah Hanafiah and Hot Setiado. The aim of the study was to analyze the succeed of crossing soybeans between Anjasmoro and Grobogan varieties and as a basis for forming a basic population with the desired character. This research was conducted at the plastic house Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The one-way cross design with hand pollination method was used with one combination of cross: Anjasmoro × Grobogan. The data obtained were processed using the SPSS program to determine the standard deviation of the data. The results showed that the percentage of success in crossing obtained was 33.33%. Soybean flower pollen is 100% fertile, the number of seed pods 1 was 6 pods, the number of seed pods 2 was 7 pods, the number of seed pods 3 was 1 pod, the number of empty pods was 7 pods, the weight of 10 seeds from the cross was smaller than the parents cross female. The characters of the two that elder of Anjasmoro soybean were superior to Grobogan soybean
