Abstract :
A Study on Structure and Composition of Tree and Pole Vegetation at Tour Track
Around In Sicikeh-cikeh Conservation Forest Region Dairi, North Sumatera has been
conducted in January to February 2009. Sampling area was settled by using purposive
sampling method, and devided to three locations based on tourism tour track. Location
I was at 1.433 m asl; Location II was 1.410 m asl; and Location III was 1.412 m asl..
Observation area size was 1,8 Ha for tree vegetation sample and 0,45 Ha for pole
vegetation sample. Tree vegetations were observed in 15 plots size of 20 x 20 m each
location, and the pole was observed in 15 plots size of 10x10m. The results showed
that three were 43 tree species of 18 families, and the pole were 60 species in of 23
families. Tree vegetation was dominated by Lauraceae, Myrtaceae, Pinaceae,
Fagaceae, Guttiferae and Sapotaceae, while the pole was dominated by
Melastomataceae, Myrtaceae, Lauraceae, Sapotaceae, and Guttiferae. The highest
important value of tree species was Quercus lineata Bl. found in location I with the
value of 38,8384 %, and pole species was Palaquium sp. found in location I with the
value of 61,3890 %.
