Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, solvability, activity, and firm size either partially or simultaneously to profitability on manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2014-2016. The sample of research obtained by purposive sampling method is 65 companies. The purposive sampling method is a technique of determining the sample based on certain criteria. This study uses secondary data from financial statements that obtained through the website www.idx.co.id. The method of data analysis in this study is multiple regression analysis by using SPSS statistical program. The results of this research shows that liquidity, solvability, activity and firm size simultaneously have a significant effect on profitability. Partially, solvability, activity, and firm size have a significant effect on profitability but liquidity has no significant effect on profitability.
