Abstract :
The hospital's most important asset is nurse, and the nurse's performance is one of the main factors of the hospital's achievement. So every Hospital is always trying to improve the performance of nurses and better over time. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the influence of self-autonomy and stress management on nursing performance of North Sumatera University Hospital. This research uses quantitative descriptive. Quantitative data was obtained based on the results of questionnaire data processing that was distributed to the research sample. The population of this research is nursing in University of Sumatera Utara Hospital which total of 147 nurses. The number of samples determined by Slovin formula obtained 107 respondents. The technique used is multiple linear regression. The results obtained that self-autonomy and stress management simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of nurses at the University of Sumatera Utara Hospital Medan. Self-autonomy and partially stress management have a positive and significant effect on nursing performance of University of Sumatera Utara Hospital Medan.
