Abstract :
The objective of the research waas to examine empirically the influence of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the number of the directors, and firm size on profitability proxied with ROA (Return On Asset ), and stock price in the companies listed in JII (jakarta Islamic Index) in the period of 2013-2016 and to examine whether profitability could mediate the correlation of CSR, board of directors, and firm size on stock price. The samples were 15 companies listed in JII in the period of 2013-2016, taken by using census method so that total of research observations was 60. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis and SPSS. The result of the research showed that CSR had positive and significant influence on profitability, the number of directors had positive but insignificant influence on profitability, and firm size had negative but significant on profitability. It was also found that CSR had positive but insignificant influence on stock price, the number of directors had positive and significant influence on stock price, firm size had negative and insignificant on stock price, and profitability had negative but significant influence on stock price. the result of intervening variable (profitability) showed that profitability could mediate the correlation of CSR and firm size with stock price, while profitability coul not mediate the correlation of the number of directors with stock price.
