Abstract :
The study is titled Making of Attendance Against Presidential Candidates Imaging and Vice President Candidate Impressions Through Quiz (Making of audience reception analysis Imaging Candidate Against President and Vice Presidential candidate Wiranto-Hary Tanoesoedibyo through Impressions "Nationality Quiz" in RCTI). The purpose of this study to look at the meaning of the imaging audience Wiranto and Hary Tanoesoedibyo through Nationality Quiz show on RCTI, positioning the audience as well as the factors that influence the position of the audience. The method used qualitative methods to approach the analysis of the reception. The basic theory used is the encoding-decoding theory invented by Stuart Hall about how the audience produces a message of a media text. The process will produce a meaning that is not always the same as it is influenced by the capacity of each audience. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews of four informants with different backgrounds. The results showed Quiz Nationality interpreted by the informants as a quiz featuring imagery and promotion conducted by WIN-HT. The meanings influence the position of the informant, where the informant is at Opositional Position I, II and IV Informant is at Negotiated Position and informants III are the Dominant Position. The factors that influence the position of spectator views of the background factors of education, employment, and other related knowledge and political imagery.
