Abstract :
The objectives of the study were to analyze the feasibility of oyster mushroom farming, to analyze the factors that influence the production and income of oyster mushroom farming, and to describe the marketing channel pattern of oyster mushroom. This research area determined purposive that is in Kota Tebing Tinggi, with the consideration that in that area is one of area which do oyster mushroom production in North Sumatera. The research method used is descriptive analysis method, analysis of Cobb-Douglas production function and multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are primary and secondary data. The results concluded that oyster mushroom farming is a profitable and feasible business to cultivate. Simultaneously all factors of production (number of seeds, bran, lime, duration of farming, and labor outpour) have a significant effect on oyster mushroom production, but partially only the number of seeds, and lime alone increased significantly. Simultaneously variable of selling price, production cost and labor wage have real effect to oyster mushroom production income, but only partially production cost which have a real effect.
