Abstract :
Bagan Serdang Village is one village in Deli Serdang where 45% of the total households are poor, although the poor have done productive activities one of the coastal-based products. This research done to analyze the process of shrimp processing, analyze the income of shrimp processing and determine the added value resulting from the processing of shrimp. The purpose of this research is to analyze the shrimp processing in the research area, to analyze the shrimp processing income in the research area, to determine the value added from shrimp processing in the research area. The research method used in this research is descriptive method, income method and Hayami method. The results showed that the processing of the third product of shrimp-based processing is still carried out with simple technology. The income of shrimp processing business in one production is Rp. 208,552, dried shrimp paste Rp. 91,334 and un-salted dried shrimp Rp. 61.750. for a month production of shrimp processing dried shrimp Rp. 1.878.041, dried shrimp paste Rp. 562.166 and fresh dried shrimp Rp. 879.727. Value added processing of dried shrimp Rp. 34,425 / kg of raw materials, dried shrimp paste Rp 3,190 / kg of raw material and un-salted dried shrimp is Rp 3,388 / kg of raw material. With the income of labor for processed dried shrimp Rp / kg 17.001, dried shrimp paste Rp / kg 9.642. and un-salted dried shrimp Rp / kg 7.500. The profit of entrepreneurs for processed dried shrimp is Rp / kg 17.424, dried shrimp paste Rp / kg 6.452 and un-salted dried shrimp is Rp / kg 4.112.
