Abstract :
The plantation the sub-sector of north sumatra province has an quite important role in improving the regional economy. This role is as one sector that uses a lot of workforce, increases family income and increases the amount of dependcy ratio. One of the north sumatra plantation sub-sector companies is BUMN PTPN III. This studying aims to analyze the Role Of The PTPN III On The Absorption Of Labor And Family Income In Bandar Selamat Kabupaten Asahan. The indicators used in this study were labor, family income and dependency ratio before and after working in PTPN III, in bandar selamat kabupaten asahan. The method used in data collection is the interview method with sample of 60 respondents. Data analysis method used in this study is to use an average difference test analysis and Sign Test (Test Sign), where the results show that labor, family income and the ratio of dependents before and after are positively and significantly different before and after working at PTPN III Bandar Selamat Kabupaten Asahan. while the chi square test (chi squeare) significantly had no difference in labor, family income and dependency ratio before and after working at PTPN III Bandar Selamat Asahan Regency.
