Abstract :
This study aimed to analyze the effect of economic growth, inflation, and
number of industries against employment opportunities in Medan. The dependent
variable is the amount of employment opportunities, while the independent
variables are economic growth, inflation and number of industries. This study was
limited by analyzing the annual quantitative secondary data over the time span
between 1998-2016.
Regression results show that both economic growth and inflation have
partially no significant influence on employment opportunities, while the number
of industries has a negative and significant effect on employment opportunities.
Based on the F test, economic growth, inflation, and number of industries
are simultaneously or together affect employment opportunities.
