Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer type and dosage to the availability of soil nitrogen for paddy (Oryza sativa L.). This research was conducted at Greenhouse Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan on August-October 2017 using non factorial randomized design with 7 treatments and 3 replications ie K (control), P1 (15 mL gamal LOF), P2 (30 mL gamal LOF), P3 (45 mL gamal LOF), N1 (15 mL goat LOF), N2 (30 mL goat LOF), N3 (45 mL goat LOF). Parameters observed were soil pH, C-organic, N total, N absorption, plant height, number of tillers, canopy dry weight, and root dry weight. The results showed that gamal liquid organic fertilizer and goat liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on soil pH, C-organic, N total, N absorptionand plant vegetatif growth.
