Abstract :
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus, which is a virus that attacks the human immune system. AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. Syndrome in Indonesian is a syndrome which means a collection of symptoms of a disease. The development of HIV-AIDS cases in Indonesia is like an iceberg phenomenon where the number of reported cases is less than the actual conditions that occur in the field. Incidence of HIV/AIDS in Maluku With 4665 HIV cases and 1226 AIDS cases with a sex presentation of 58% men living with HIV-AIDS and 42% women, meanwhile, for the most age group presentations who have HIV-AIDS. are aged 15-39 years who are transmitted through sex (85%) and homosexuals (9%). This study aims to determine the factors associated with adolescent behavior towards HIV-AIDS prevention in RT/RW 025/005 Teluk Ambon Baguala District, Passo State. This study used a cross-sectional approach with a sample of 85 adolescents. Data analysis used Univariate and Bivariate analysis using Chi Square. The sampling technique was accidental sampling, the measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that most of the adolescents had good HIV/AIDS prevention behavior (90.6%), the factor that had a significant relationship with HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents was Knowledge (p value = 0.023; OR=6700 95% CI=1.441- 31,158), source of information (p value = 0.001; OR=14,769 95% CI=2,677-81,477), otherwise there is no relationship between promiscuity and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents (p value = 0.275; OR= 2,519 95% CI =0.040- 14,418).
