Abstract :
Diarrheal disease is a disease that can cause death due to lack of volume of fluids from bowel movements that are more than usual or more than 3 times because the fluids that enter the body cannot be absorbed properly, diarrheal disease is currently still a global problem with the degree of morbidity and mortality in children , with the highest cases in various countries, especially in developing countries. The aim of the study was to get a description of nursing care for children with diarrhea and lack of fluid volume at the hospital. Meilia Cibubur. Descriptive qualitative research design without direct intervention to clients with a literature study approach taking data from research cases in 2019. The results of the study obtained client data CHAPTER 10x with liquid consistency, greenish yellow color and foul odor, clients appear weak, dry lip mucosa, decreased skin turgor . The priority nursing diagnosis is fluid volume deficiency associated with active fluid loss. One of the interventions carried out was the provision of zinc drugs. One of the implementations is providing the rational zinc drug to improve or increase the absorption of water and electrolytes through the intestines and accelerate the regeneration of special epithelium. The evaluation stage was not carried out, because it did not carry out direct implementation to the patient, but the results of the evaluation were based on the outcome criteria and based on previous journal research, namely zinc supplementation added to standard treatment of diarrhea with oral rehydration salts proved to be effective and resulted in better diarrhea treatment. Nurses should provide more maximum nursing services by implementing and developing independent nurse actions based on practical evidence.
