Abstract :
Diabetes mellitus type II is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia (increased glucose levels) due to a lack of the hormone insulin, a decrease in the effect of insulin or both. Diabetes mellitus occurs when beta cells cannot produce insulin (DM type 1) or produce in insufficient amounts (DM Type II). The purpose of this study was to get an overview of the nursing care for Ny.N with Diabetes Mellitus. The design of this study is a descriptive qualitative study without direct intervention to the patient. This study uses data and research cases in 2019 and uses a literature study approach. From the results of the study, it was found that the patient complained that the client said the right leg was injured. Nursing diagnoses are impaired skin integrity due to tissue discontinuity, nutritional deficits less than body requirements associated with weight loss and sleep disorders associated with pain. In this scientific paper, it describes the interventions that are applied to patients who have damaged skin integrity. It was concluded that the Wound Care Technique was to determine its effectiveness against the smell of wounds in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Based on the description above request to nurses to further improve their independence, namely clients who have diabetes mellitus by performing wound care techniques with any disease, especially with type II diabetes mellitus. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus Type II, Nursing care.
