Abstract :
Febrile seizures are the awakening of seizures that occur at an increase in body temperature above 38 ? without infection of the central nervous system, electrolyte disturbances, or other metabolic disorders characterized by an increase in body temperature with seizures accompanied by tonic, clonic. The incidence of febrile seizures in West Java in 2012 was 2,220 for patients with febrile seizures in the 0-1 year olds, while 5,696 for 1-4 years old. The research design of this scientific paper is a qualitative descriptive study without direct intervention with a literature study approach because it is during the Covid-19 pandemic, the data is taken from a research case in 2019. The results of the study obtained data on body temperature of 39oC, vomiting 4 times, lack of appetite. and nausea. Based on the results of existing studies, it was found that the main problem was nutritional deficits with a medical diagnosis of febrile seizures. Interventions taken to overcome nutritional deficits are weighing at appropriate intervals rationally to monitor changes or weight loss, identification of the trigger factors for nausea and vomiting rationally to provide nursing measures to overcome nausea and vomiting and encourage small but frequent meals. In the evaluation it is not done directly because the author does not carry out direct implementation to the patient so that at the evaluation stage an overview is given based on literature studies, namely based on previous research journals which show an increase in body weight in clients by providing small but frequent oral food. Nurses to further enhance independent action based on evidence based to help overcome nutritional deficits in clients with febrile seizures.
