Abstract :
Sectio caesarea is a method of giving birth to a fetus by making an incision in the uterine wall through the front wall of the abdomen or vagina. One of the threats for mothers undergoing sectio caesarea is infection in the post operative wound. The risk of infection is the range of experiencing the invasion and multiplication of pathogenic organism that can interfere with a person?s health. Nurses play an important role in overcoming the problem of risk of infection by providing appropriate wound care. The main principle in wound care management is to prevent and treat wounds that cause infection. The purpose of this case study is to describe the implementation of nursing care with the risk of infection in Mrs.J and Mrs.R with sectio caesarea. This data collection technique was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies. In diagnosing the risk of infection, the authors take action to implement nursing care of Mrs.J and Mrs.R. observation of wounds, observation of TTV, signs and symptoms of infection, performing wound care, teaching self-care. The result for 3 days of implementation were found that risk of infection did not occur. According to the authors, observing around the wound and doing self-care can prevent infection. The implementation time was carried out for 3 days in July 2022 at pasar rebo hospital. Keyword : post sectio caesarea, risk of infection, post Sc wound care.
