Abstract :
This research is discussed about Indonesia Retail Obligation (ORI) as an instrument of investment in Indonesia. The objective of this research is to find out about the advantages and disadvantages from this instrument and also to compare the performance from other instruments. The main object of this research is ORI series 001 with IHSG, deposits, and government obligation series FR0040 as compared object in measuring return and risk of each instrument in period 2006 - 2007. The method used is library research to secondary data that collected from daily newspaper and Internet. After analyzing the data, several conclusions could be obtained. First, the result shows that ORI is capable to be chosen by middle-risk appetite investor. Then, the result also shows that principle of High Risk High Return is valid for all instruments.
