Abstract :
Bank profitability not only affects by internal indicator such as financial ratios but also affect by macroeconomics condition. This research wants to know about relationship between those internal and macroeconomics indicator with bank profitability for the period 2004-2007. Internak indicator uses in this research are CAR, NPL, BOPO and LDR, while Gross Domestic Product (GDP) uses as the macroeconomics indicator. The research objects are government bank that already stated in Indonesian stock exchange in 2004. The results using multiple regression show that in simultaneous those independent variable use, which is CAR, NPL, BOPO, LDR, and GDP growth, have a significance relationship wit ROA for Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia. But in partial only BOPO that has significance relationship with ROA in each bank and CAR only has significance relationship with Bank Mandiri's ROA. Keywords: CAR, BOPO, LDR, NPL, GDP, ROA.
