Abstract :
The banking sector plays a significant role in the elements of the world's economy and uncontrolled employee turnover can be a roadblock for the company to achieve sustainable profitability and productivity. Since huge quantities of experienced baby boomers and generation X will soon be leaving the work because of retirement, millennial is expected to fill the holes. However, it was found that very little research exists on the factors that affect job satisfaction and turnover intention among millennial banking employees in Jakarta, Indonesia and hence this is what led me to do this research. For the purpose of this research, only three often talked factors namely flexible working environment, salary and compensation and career development opportunity will be the focus for the factors affecting job satisfaction and turnover intention. The targeted research respondents? population for this research were 105 millennial employees of a bank head office in Jakarta. Based on the results of this research study, all proposed hypothesis is accepted supported. It showed that flexible working environment, salary and compensation and career development opportunity have positive effect towards job satisfaction followed by job satisfaction that has negative effect on turnover intention among millennial employees in a bank in Jakarta. Thus, banks especially the one in Jakarta should be able to use this study as foundation to determine the relevant strategy in improving its millennial employee?s job satisfaction and reducing turnover intention.
