Abstract :
President Jokowi has determined the need to accelerate the development of National Strategic Projects (PSN) by issuing presidential regulation No. 3 of 2016. And he determined several PSNs, namely 245 construction projects and two programs, which will spend a budget of Rp. 4.197 trillion. This presidential regulation provides an opportunity for PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (Waskita) to increase the company's growth by participating in tenders and successfully securing new contracts. Waskita's total debt continues to grow from 2016 to support the implementation of projects won by Waskita. However, Waskita's journey in completing those projects impacted the company's financial performance and financial distress where in 2019 the company's profit decreased by 80% compared to 2018 and in 2020 Waskita affected a loss of Rp -9,401.23 trillion.
