Abstract :
ABSTRACT Traditional wooden ships are built without a basic design process. A wooden ship is a part or complete combination of the entire hull structure, construction and some of its components are made of wood connected to each other. Sungkai is a fast-growing and well-developed woody tree. Sungkai wood has the characteristics of a hard, rough and irregular texture with straight and woven fiber directions.Acacia plants can grow on infertile land as well. Seven and eight-year-old acacia produce good wood quality. The basic concepts of material mechanics are stress and stress. This concept can be illustrated in basic form on prismatic strips subject to axial forces. Tensile test is the application of tensile force or stress on a material with the aim of obtaining a value for the strength of a material.
