Abstract :

Catch fishermen are the activities of coastal communities as one of their livelihoods. In the fishing village of Cilincing sub-district, fishing is the work of the local community. The activities of capture fishermen require continuous efforts in their activities. In the period from 2017 to 2021, there has been an increase in the number of fishing professions. Even so, the income of fishing communities in fishing villages is still lower than the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) in Jakarta. In addition, the waters in the Jakarta Bay are experiencing worrying pollution. These problems can affect the sustainability of fishing activities which consist of several factors, namely social factors, economic factors and environmental factors. The purpose of this research is to find out how much social, economic and environmental factors influence the sustainability of fishing activities partially and simultaneously. The method used is quantitative correlation research with primary data obtained in the field using a questionnaire with a total of 73 fishermen working on a 5 GT fishing boat. The data obtained were tested by instrument testing, namely the validity test and reliability test and analyzed using the basic analysis of the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis on hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it shows that (1) social factors have no effect on the sustainability of fishing partially, (2) economic factors and environmental factors have an influence on the sustainability of fishing partially and (3) social factors, economic factors, and environmental factors have a simultaneous influence on the sustainability of fishing with a value of 49% together
