ABSTRACT
Development of the baby is largely determined by the amount of breast milk (ASI) obtained. The administration of breast milk is influenced by the smoothness of breast milk and the frequency of breastfeeding. An assessment of the frequency of breastfeeding a baby can be done by measuring the baby's weight. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the frequency of breastfeeding and the smoothness of breast milk. The research design used was a cohort method conducted prospectively. The sample used amounted to 15 respondents taken by the total sampling method data collection was done by observation sheet. The results showed that almost all frequency breastfeeding mothers often with smooth breastfeeding amounted to (80%) respondents, and frequency breastfeeding mothers not often with non-fluent breast milk amounted to (20%) respondents. The results of the analysis by chi-square obtained a value of 0.006 <0.05, which means that H1 is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the frequency of breastfeeding and the smoothness of breast milk. It is expected that all post partum mothers to breastfeed frequently so that they do not experience breastfeeding are not smooth.
