Abstract :
The tourism sector in Indonesia is currently a primary focus of the
government to enhance regional contributions. The potential of this sector can
serve as a cornerstone to boost the economy of a region, one of which is Wonosobo
Regency, known as one of the five poorest areas in Central Java. Wonosobo is
renowned for its attractive natural and cultural tourism, especially among the
younger generation interested in the "healing" trend. This study aims to design an
art book to promote tourist attractions such as Telaga Warna, Candi Arjuna, the
Ruwatan Rambut Gimbal Cultural Festival, and Mie Ongklok cuisine with a
relevant approach to the healing phenomenon for Millennials and Gen Z. This
research employs a qualitative descriptive method to produce an art book that is
expected to attract young tourists to visit Wonosobo Regency as part of their healing
activities. The art book combines realism and surrealism illustrations with tourism
information presented in a soft selling manner through reviews, opinions, poems,
quotes, and artwork, using metaphor, allusion, personification, allegory, pleonasm,
and periphrasis. The art book also includes a guide map stored in the back section
of the book. Supporting media used in this study consists of posters, tumblers, tote
bags, social media stickers, and Instagram filters.
