ABSTRACT
Microstrip antenna is widely used because it has several advantages
such as small dimension and light weight. However, this antenna also has
weaknesses, which are limited bandwidth and low gain. Therefore, this antenna
is designed for the purpose of obtaining a wide bandwidth. In this thesis,
entitled "Analysis of Effect T-Shaped Slot on the Quality Parameters Microstrip
Antenna using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) and the Advanced
Design System (ADS) for the Application of Wi-Fi" the author designed and
simulated a microstrip patch antenna rectangular to support communication
wi-fi . Simulation this antenna using software Computer Simulation Technology
(CST) and the Advanced Design System (ADS).
The design of the antenna is expected to produce the characteristics of
antennas working on 2447 MHz center frequency for VSWR less than 2 with the
type of substrate used is FR4 Epoxy with a relative permittivity value is 4.4,
thickness of 1.6 mm, a dielectric constant of 2.2, and impedance of 50 Ω
microstrip line that operates at a frequency of 2.447 GHz work. From the
results of the design of the simulator CST bandwidth generated at the T-shaped
slot antenna for 103 MHz, and for VSWR ≤ 2 obtained a value of 1.367, a gain
of 5.337, and the directivity of 6.2388 dBi. In the rectangular antenna, VSWR
values obtained to 2,978, a gain of 3.082 dB and a return loss of -6.068 dB. The
results obtained in the design of the T-shaped slot antenna with ADS simulator,
VSWR values obtained at 2,083, a gain of 0.505 dB and directivity of 6.063 dBi.
