Abstract :
This thesis explores the design of network Fiber to The Home (FTTH) in the region
Maguwoharjo, Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. Fiber To The Home (FTTH) access network is a
technology architecture that uses optical fiber as the primary medium is connected to the
customer to provide telephone service, internet and TV. The development of this technology
to replace copper wires. In designing the study, the number of passes that are in the area
Maguwoharjo, Depok Sleman Yogyakarta as many as 3934 were divided into 5 boundary.
In this study the author uses boundary 1 the number of passes and 673 using a one stage
scenario 1: 32 and two stage 1: 2 ïƒ 1: 16 and 1: 4 ïƒ 1: 8 to be used as the design of the
access network Fiber To The Home (FTTH). From the research design of Fiber To The
Home (FTTH) for Maguwoharjo region, Depok Sleman Yogyakarta obtained based on link
budget calculations using one-stage scenario 1: 32 for the closest distance is 21.13 dB,
21.36 dB and medium distance farthest distance 21 , 49 dB. In the link budget calculation
using the two-stage scenario 1: 2 ïƒ 1: 16 for the closest distance has 21.48 dB, 21.50 dB
and medium range greatest distance is 21.84 dB. In the link budget calculation using the
two-stage scenario 1: 4 ïƒ 1: 8 to 21:41 shortest distance dB, 21.64 dB and medium
distance farthest distance is 21.79 dB. It can be concluded from the link budget calculation
using three scenarios that it is best to use a one-stage scenario 1: 32. If the location of the
site passes over the distance of 100 meters, it will result in the quality of voice, data that is
not maximal. Based on the calculation of the Bill Of Quantity (BOQ) by using one-stage
scenario 1: 32 to determine the required device in the feeder cable has a number of 2.56
km and 67300 meters drop cable and the two-stage scenario 1: 2 ïƒ 1: 16 to determine the
required on the cable distribution is 4.47 km and has a number of ODP 43 pieces.
