Abstract :
Now days all of telecommunication provides is increasing amount of BTS 3G in order
to increase traffic channel capacities and enlarge coverage area. But the expansion have
any negative effect when the frequency needs is getting more, but the allocation is limited.
The using of frequency that is not based on rule, can make an interference appear. The
interference can make a signal quality getting low and worse and this is have a direct
effect for subscriber. Therefore the operator must keep the signal quality and the data
service to avoid the drop call, block call, etc. So, an 3G/WCDMA signal quality
observation is needed by using TEMS Investigation 9.1 and get the result from signal
parameters Received Signal Code Power (RSCP), Energy Chips per Noise (Ec/No). The
result of the observation is showing the best RSCP ≥ -92dBm can reach the target 80%
with the percentage is 99.99%, and the Ec/No ≤-12dBm cannot reached the target of 80%
with percentage is 68.04%, while the percentage of the CSSR is 98.59% and 2.81%,
amounting to DCR.
