Abstract :
The design fiber optic FTTH network is based on the high demand for data services and
higher voice. In meeting the needs of users of telecommunications services especially
among households, then built a fiber optic communication system architecture called
FTTH (Fiber To The Home). In this thesis done design of FTTH network planning around
the area Mojosongo using google earth applications and KMLCSV Converter. Network
design was created in order to be an alternative access technology from the central toward
to customers. The initial phase is a survey conducted to obtain passes the data such as
home address, home criteria, and home phone subscription status or not. This survey data
is inputted into the google earth application in accordance with applicable regulations.
Then specify the necessary tools such as STO, ODC, ODP, feeder cable, drop cable and
distribution cable to the distribution network of the customer can be made central to the
ideal. The materials required are made in the table BOQ (Bill Of Quantity) to facilitate the
determination of the number of devices required. Calculating the link budget is used to
determine the total value of attenuation resulting from STO to customers. Link budget is
calculated for boundary 4 is used for the comparison of 3-state configurations, namely (1:
4 and 1: 8), (1: 2 and 1:16) and (1:32). The most ideal configuration using the (1:4 and
1:8) configuration produces a total of 20.66 dB attenuation for customers and 21:24 dB
nearest to furthest customer.
