Abstract :
Growth of the technology and digital era, the more service providers of presence
systems are easy, efficient, fast, and practical. But there are several agencies that are still
implementing conventional systems. So as to realize an efficient and easy presence system,
wireless technology is needed which is designed using RFID reader devices as identity tag
media readers, RTC as a time provider, Arduino Uno as microprocessor, LCD displays data
generated on the system, Module WiFi esp8266 -01 as a wireless data transmission device,
the buzzer as a voice indicator, the router as the access point used to forward data
transmission from the WiFi module device to the website, and the IoT service provider
platform, ThingSpeak. Platform displays real-time system processing results. The coding
process is the initialization of output input, system processing and logic on the device so that
it can be interconnected by using the Arduino IDE application software, and the data traffic
retrieval process to obtain Qos parameter values using Wireshark network monitoring
software. The design of this system produces an average throughput value of 293.828 bit / s,
and the lowest delay value is 0.203 sec at a distance of 0 meters and the greater reaches 5.597
sec at a distance of 60 meters. This is because the range of more than 30 meters is not able to
be covered properly by the 2.4 GHz frequency standard by maximizing the data rate of 11
Mbps. To get optimal performance, both the device distance and the access point used are 0
to 35 meters. By using this concept, the process of communicating data transmission in this
system will be more effective and efficient than other existing presence systems.
