Abstract :
Selection of the informatics chairman candidates who is conducted by the
informatics nowadays election committee of IT Telkom Purwokerto has a
weakness about determining criteria. Selection process is doesn’t performed
using objective criteria, causing the selection process of the presidential
candidate can be seen based on knowledge and experience of the assessment
team. This Simple Additive Weighting is widely used in decision support systems,
but has weaknesses in weighting. Accordingly, in this research applying Fuzzy
Multi Attribute Decision Making with Simple Additive Weighting in the selection
of candidates for the chairman of the HMIF IT Telkom Purwokerto. Results of
this Research are expected to be able to apply the method of Fuzzy Multiple
Attribute Decision Making with Simple Additive Weighting to determine the best
alternative in the selection of candidates for the chairman of HMIF based on the
preference values generated from the method calculation analysis, decision
support systems can produce data of appropriate preference values based on
level of accuracy by comparing the two calculations (manual and system), this
decision support system has a function that is in accordance with the design that
has been prepared previously based on system testing using Black-box Testing.
