Abstract :
ABSTRACT The network of computer, routing protocols is used to determine the shortest route to get to the destination. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Intermediate System to Intermediate System (IS-IS) are protocols use link-sate algorithm, where the algorithm corrects distance information between routers and inter-connection process between routers. The OSPF protocol is often used in network design by several companies, as it has large and wide network coverage (large scalability). In a network, when it will combines both different protocols in a single network a proper method in order both protocols can run together. The method of merging two or more routing protocols uses redistribution method. In research presents analysts performance of redistribution routing protocol OSPF and IS-IS. This research uses two Cisco routers with software used to analyze the parameters of QoS (Quality of Service) system consists of Wireshark, VLC, and Windows File Sharing. The QoS parameters used in this research is delay, jitter, packet loss and throughput. Based on this research, when the file size of the File Sharing service and video resolution in the Video Streaming service is getting bigger then the resulting throughput will be greater. Based on the standardization of Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Networks (TIPHON) for delay value, this study included in perfect category because the delay value is less than 150 ms. The average value of jitter on file sharing services and video streaming services are categorized in good according to standardization of TIPHON. Based on the standardization of TIPHON for packet loss, this research is included in the good category because the packet loss value is less than 3%. Keywords: OSPF, IS-IS, Redistribution, Cisco Routers
