Abstract :
ABSTRACT The Internet is currently formed from several computer network topologies. The network topology of computer-forming Internet is very complex so that devices must be configured in order to communicate with each other. The configuration of the device on a conventional network is still one-by-one or is distilled, causing the configuration to be flexible, cumbersome and less efficient. SDN (Software Defined Network) was raised as a hope to address the configuration problems. SDN is a paradigm where the control plane and data plane are separated, so the configuration becomes centralized and ease of configuration on the control plane side. OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) is a conventional network routing protocol. OSPF has the algorithm of Djikstra or SPF (Shortest Path First) to determine its best route based on the lowest cost. Conventional network Routing protocols can be deployed at SDN using RouteFlow as a control plane. This study implemented the OSPF routing protocol at SDN and measured its performance based on QoS parameters in the scenario without background traffic and there is a background traffic. QoS measurement is done by sending the UDP protocol traffic (User Datagram Protocol) and TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). This study successfully implemented OSPF routing protocol at SDN. The result of measuring QoS parameters by varying the data size and background traffic is still in the standardization recommendation TIPHON. The measurement value of QoS parameters increases as data size and traffic background are sent. The result of the measurement of UDP delay parameters experienced a significant increase of 47% of the data size (11.2 to 12.8) Mbytes in condition without background traffic.
