Abstract :
Increasing the need for high-speed internet access to the customer's side can
be met by deploying optical networks to customer's homes or known as FTTH
(Fiber To The Home) based on GPON technology (Gigabit Passive Optical
Network). In this research, the Karang Karang Sapphire Housing Selection uses an
environmentally friendly network system or uses a shared duct cable in a residential
area, designed using Google Earth, Autocad, Optisytem simulation software. STO
is located in Purwokerto Jalan Merdeka, a distance of 5,319 km from ODC (Splitter
1:4) located in Housing, the number of ODP Pedestal devices (Splitter 1: 8) will be
used as many as 33 units with 3 distribution lines.
Based on the power link budget all ONTs have met ITU-T G.984.2 standards
both in calculation and simulation. Based on calculations, the values obtained in
the third distribution path are -18,941, -18,599, -18,554 dBm and the simulation is
-20,131 -19,972, 20,021 dBm. The results of design performance for BER and Q
Factor in the simulation results obtained for the distribution of one 1.96258 × 10-
134 and 24.6469, two distributions 1.92654 × 10-136 and 24.8335, three
distributions 5.85078 × 10-139 and 25,065, both of which have met the minimum
BER and Q Factor standards at ITU-T, which are 10-9 for BER and> 6 (more than
6) for Q Factor.
