Abstract :
Density of internet access as a result of the many users can interfere with the
smooth access to internet services. There is a need for network management, to
provide maximum internet services to users Application of PBR (policy based
routing) can be a solution to overcome the dense traffic internet services to users.
With the implementation of PBR, the distribution of traffic loads or load balancing
with better control of ISP links that will be used to distribute traffic. There are four
scenarios in the design of PBR. The first scenario is failover configuration using 2
internet links, the second scenario is PBR and failover 2 client groups, the third
scenario is separation of domestic lines (IIX) and international lines (IIX), scenario
four is separation of internet services with online games. All four design scenarios
apply different routing tables. The network testing is in the form of traceroute,
tourch, and QoS data collection (quality of services). There are four parameters
tested quality of services which are delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput. The
results of the test, get an average delay value in scenario 1 is 0.18 ms, scenario 2
group A is 0.30 ms, scenario 2 group B is 0.33 ms, scenario 3 is 0.20 ms, and
scenario 4 is 0.18 ms. The average results of jitter in scenario 1 is 3.30 ms, scenario
2 group A is 0.59 ms, scenario 2 group B is 0.77 ms, scenario 3 is 0.54 ms, and
scenario 4 is 0.50 ms. The average value of packet loss in scenario 1 is 0.93%,
scenario 2 group A is 1.51%, scenario 2 group B is 1.17%, scenario 3 is 0.05%,
and scenario 4 is 0, 01%. The average results of throughput in scenario 1 is 34.29
Mbps, scenario 2 group A is 41.43 Mbps, scenario 2 group B is 40.56 Mbps,
scenario 3 is 57.58 Mbps, and scenario 4 is 62.47 Mbps. In testing the network
quality of each scenario determined to get good results with the reference THIPON
standardization.
